About Us
Viterra Vegetable Oil Manufacturing Ltd., a company of Viterra Hungary, operates one of the largest oilseed crush plants of Central Europe.
The Foktő Plant operates top quality vegetable oil production technology with cutting-edge equipment that fully complies with stringent European environmental regulations. Production is highly environmentally friendly as all products leaving the process are fully utilized.
The Foktő Plant can process the following raw materials:
- sunflower seed
- rape seed
- soy bean
- corn germ
The Plant’s main end product is vegetable oil, the second one is protein rich meal. The latter is used as animal feed raw material.
Awards
Factory of the Year 2020
Viterra Vegetable Oil Manufacturing Ltd. has won the Factory of the Year grand prize in the Factory of the Year competition for companies with a net yearly revenue between HUF 3 and 15 million. Besides winning the grand prize, the oil seed processing facility was announced the winner in three individual categories. The jury awarded their best production processes and their efforts for energy efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Factory of the Year 2019
The vegetable oil plant has won the jury’s Special Award for best greenfield investment in the Factory of the Year 2019 competition.
